What was the highlight of Hotel Palacio de Barreiro
Old Galician Manor Farm House with so much Potential
Beautiful grounds and vineyards surround the property. Old Galician manor farm house with its own little chapel. Nice breakfast with nice Spanish cured ham and Manchego cheese. Old rooms with nice charming look/style. Smart TV in the bedroom. Very friendly staff. Private parking. Good location and near to the Prexigueiro hot springs.
The property would massively benefit from some upgrading. Even though the property is slightly outdated and a bit run down this gives it some extra charm. The pool wasn’t ready and was under repairs which was a terrible shame (we weren't informed of this beforehand). In sum we stayed in an incredible place/setting with loads of potential and hope that the owners find the means to bring the property up to its full potential/glory.

Poor catering facilities here, but overall still a wonderful place.
This was an interesting property set amongst vineyards with wonderful views. the breakfast was also very good with a selection of meat, cheese, bread,cakes etc
it was advertised as having TV in all rooms, we had a remote control but no tv to use it on (this actually is not important as I don’t watch tv, but it was advertised) the wifi was extremely poor with only sporadic connection. The biggest problem was that we were told that in addition to no restaurant facility there was no bar or soft drink availability. the nearest bar & restaurant is just over a kilometre away.
